The company Giacosa was founded by Grandfather Carlo at the end of the 19th century. For a long time only wines were prepared, since one had no own vineyard hills. The grapes were delivered by winemakers who enjoyed the family's full confidence. To this day Bruno Giacosa still buys some of the fruits. It was only at the beginning of the 1980s that he founded his own farm with the Azienda Agricola Falletto. Since then, the owner of the vineyard, who has been looking back on a 60-year-old wine-growing career, also owns his own vineyards in Serralunga d'Alba. Since the nineties, Giacosas has been home to the outstanding sites of Asili and Rabają in Barbaresco.
