The Amarone from Castelforte starts drying Corvina and Rondinella grapes. A slow fermentation and refinement in large oak barrels over a period of at least 18 months gives this wine fullness and a deep garnet color. With a complex bouquet of cinnamon, cherry jam, alcoholic fruits and walnuts, which emphasizes an aroma of black cherries on the palate, as well as spicy notes of vanilla and coffee on the finish. It goes perfectly with pasta dishes with sauces made with truffles, rabbits or game, as well as grilled red meat, braised meat and old cheese.
Derived from the name of the wild flower that grows round our winery, Alastro is a Grecanico blended with two notably aromatic varieties, Grillo and Sauvignon Blanc. Splendidly aromatic, delicately structured, with aromas of tropical fruit, fresh citrus and white flowers.
Shiny ruby red, tending to garnet. Fragrance: ethereal, characteristic, pronounced elegant, with subtle notes of violets and fine wood. Taste: dry, spicy, balanced, velvety, with complex aromas of exotic fruits to balsamic hints.
