The full-bodied grapes of the Sagrantino Colpetrone are selected by hand, the pressing is extremely gentle, as only the mature tannins can be used with this tannin-rich vine variety. The mash fermentation takes about 14 days, the expansion in the barrique takes about 12 months. This pure-bred Sagrantino di Montefalco has an intense scent of dark berries and pickled fruits, nuances of herbs and a touch of tobacco and chocolate. On the palate the colpetrone is compact and multi-layered and infinitely long in the finish. Perfect with roasted mutton, rich dishes, ripe or medium-ripe cheese.
This Brunello has a very rich and beautiful fragrance that may be reminiscent of violets and is powerful in its structure, rich body and tastes dry, warm and tender bitter because of its tannins, but excellent well balanced.
Tasting notes: Intense garnet red, impenetrable in the glass. Wild berries in jam, cherries and sour cherries open the smell, followed by a touch of leather, chocolate and liquorice, with notes of balsamic herbs. On the palate expressive, compact and dense, with strong tannins, supported by a well integrated acid, long lasting finish.
The colpetrone has a ruby color, a fruity bouquet of raspberries, hints of spicy notes, fleshy and full, with a soft tannin structure.
This Dulcis is extracted from dried white grapes and gives off a fine spicy scent, reminiscent of apricot and lime blossom. Similar to the Vin Santo from Tuscany, the Dulcis has a bright golden yellow color, is soft and round with full aromatic flavor and elegant precious sweetness.
