The Montefalco Rosso Colpetrone is a blend of Sangiovese, Sagrantino and Merlot. The full grapes are selected by hand, the mash fermentation takes about 10 days. The expansion is carried out immediately afterwards in French oak barrels for 12 months. The colpetrone has a ruby color, a fruity bouquet of raspberries, hints of spicy notes, fleshy and full, with a soft tannin structure.

This pure-bred Sagrantino di Montefalco has an intense scent of dark berries and pickled fruits, nuances of herbs and a touch of tobacco and chocolate. On the palate the colpetrone is compact and multi-layered and infinitely long in the finish.
