The Mirto di Sardegna is a liqueur which is very closely related to the tradition of Sardinia in conjunction. Francesco Zedda started in 1854 in Calgary's distillery, which was up in the 90s of the last century of family ownership. Zedda Piras of 1994 Sella & Mosca bought and later, along with Sella & Mosca, integrated into the Campari Group. The Mirto Rosso is a liqueur, which is made from the berries of myrtle. Wherein the hydroalcoholic extract of the berries of Myrtus communis is flavored with honey. The myrtle, a Mediterranean plant, is striking in its richness and its flavor as a symbol of love and beauty. She was the sacred plant of Venus, goddess of love and protectress. Only the most beautiful, well-grown berries are used for the liqueur of Zedda Piras. With the addition of Sardinian honey This liquor is produced with its digestive properties.
